After running our eyes over Y-3’s SS18 efforts here, we now shun apparel to one side for a closer inspection of the kicks on display.
With a sporty theme permeating the collection, it comes as no surprise that Primeknit and Boost (including Trail) technologies feature abundantly. There are sneakers which take inspiration from the Superstar (slide #1), Tubular Radial (slide #3) and Stan Smith (slide #14), while the serrated runner (slide #9) looks like it’s been birthed from the ZX family.
The standout, of course, is the Y-3 Futurecraft (slide #4). Dressed in white with additional leather accents, the upper rests atop a state of the art midsole which has been crafted with light and oxygen using Digital Light Synthesis technology. Head here for additional reading on the process.
