When you are a lover of authentic nude photos you probably stumbled already over the work of Taiwan photographer SeiSho Hung who is currently working on his first photo book. Nudity is a central theme in all his works, not in the sexual sense but in the purist one. After all, clothing is always a disguise as well. “I am not just fascinated by the woman’s body, but the pure feeling brought from nudity. As the way back to childhood, less cover is more real. I think it is closer to the real part of the people self. And that is what I’ve always wanted to shoot.”

When did you first pick up a camera?

My first camera was taken from my father in 2010.That was a Yashica GSN film camera.

Are you self-taught?

Yes, I am self-taught. In the early days, I obtained basic photography concepts through the web.

Your photography captures the beauty of women. What else inspires you for your images?

If anything, I think the Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. He completely changed my photography thinking direction. In the past, my photography was often in a fixed frame. Especially when faced with nude shooting. Now, I don’t care about other people’s eyes, I simply shoot what I want. This is all inspired by Araki´s photo work.

In addition to Nobuyoshi Araki, life gave me the most inspiration. I do believe the art is hidden in life, and all I have to do is try to find it out.

And what fascinates you about the human body?

There is no doubt that the human’s body is art. Especially the woman’s body, for me. However, I am not just fascinated by the woman’s body, but the pure feeling brought from nudity. As the way back to childhood, less cover is more real. I think it is closer to the real part of the people self. And that is what I’ve always wanted to shoot.

Best inspiration for work comes from?

Music, weather, those trivial things in life may inspire me.

However, my inspiration comes mainly from the girls I shoot. I spend as much time as possible talking to them. Their thoughts, experiences, emotions, and even their bodies. All the stories about them can be my source of inspiration.

What do you expect from life?

This year, I left my country Taiwan and began to live in Japan. This is a new vision for my life. I like this diverse country. I’m learning Japanese at the school here and I would like to know more about the culture and people here. With that I gain more sources of inspiration. And of course, my “Girl in room” project looks forward to have more Japanese girls involved too.
