thedrop@barneys brought in all walks of streetwear life. From casual shoppers, to fans trying to cop exclusive drops, to many designers, were all in attendance creating a social hub that blurred the lines of streetwear culture and the high-end retail marketplace into one. We partnered up with Barneys for the two-day shopping event that saw the release of 30 exclusive capsule collections from labels like OFF-WHITE, 424, Fear of God, and more.

The past year has been big for Jerry Lorenzo and Fear Of God. The brand dropped a JAY Z 4:44 collaboration, revealed its “fifth collection,” and teased its latest limited edition collaboration with Vans.

On top of all that, Lorenzo’s brand is apart of the many labels creating exclusive capsule collections for thedrop@Barneys event. The Fear of God exclusive collection featured many brand staples including french terry polo sweatshirts, logo-mesh tees, leaf print cotton-drop shorts, oversized wool cardigans, and more.

During the event, Highsnobiety’s Jeff Carvalho and Barneys’ Jackie Kim sat down with Lorenzo to talk high-end versus street fashion, his meainng behind his in-store installation, and gives advice to aspiring designers.
