Ebisu is a relatively quiet and reserved locale outside from the rush of Shibuya, and is still recognized as one the major districts of Tokyo. If you have some time to explore outside of the usual Harajuku, Aoyama and Meguro-ku jaunts, I highly recommend setting aside a day from your trip to wander the area.
Aside from the small floral shops, izakaya, bakeries and the Sapporo brewery, Hender Scheme’s Sukima shop, the P.F.S store and KAPITAL shops are all within close vicinity. KAPITAL divides its shopping experience with 3 separate stores all within a 5 minute walk from one another; KAPITAL Legs displaying only bottoms, KAPITAL Hands showing the full mainline and KAPITAL Duffle which serves as an archive and houses some of the rarer KOUNTRY pieces. If you have to choose one, visit the Duffle store; its a bit of a hoarders dream in there and gives the feel of thrifting, but you’ll enjoy 4 floors of wall to wall merch, collectibles and a bespoke outerwear and bag shop on the top suite.
The flooring throughout is all tatami, I was a bit thrown off at having to remove my footwear, but browsing the space barefoot on the soft rice straw is a pleasant memory I took back from this trip. Above are some pieces exclusive to the KAPITAL shops which aren’t usually offered to retailers, you can still find them at their official webstore, but the in-person shopping experience can’t be beat.
