On the Sticks is Complex’s first gaming series and follows DJ Akademiks as he travels from city to city challenging a different celebrity guest each week to a game on Xbox One.
Combining his love of video games and smack talk, Akademiks pulled up in Atlanta for the inaugural episode to challenge rapper and longtime gaming rival Lil Yachty. As the two battle it out 1V1 in Fortnite, they discuss Yachty’s latest album ‘Nothing to Prove,’ his upcoming film ‘How High 2,’ and his reputation as a less-than-stellar gamer in the Hip-Hop community.
